When someone is not able to work 40 hours a week due to health related problems (therefore not entitled to claim Job seekers allowance) but has been deemed "NOT to have a limited capacity for work" where do they turn next? Very little chance of getting ANY job and no income. Well done this government it's clever of you to pick on the people that need help the most. Perhaps you'd care to employ someone who is likely to collapse in a little heap and be sick everywhere. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that in itself mean there is "a LIMITED capacity for work", if not then perhaps you'd care to explain to me the meaning of the word "limited". Just because you can't immediately see someone's disability does not mean they are not disabled. Come on people we are supposed to be civilized but we are going back to natures laws "survival of the fittest" and this is supposed to be progress?

Had a really good night out and meal at the Woodspring Pub in Weston-super-Mare with some work colleagues on Friday.

WOW there's not a lot more I can say about that. An early Christmas present this year from my family.

Met some nice people at the EMS, including Paul McGann, Eve Myles and Joe Flannigan who were all very nice to talk to. But having my photo taken with David Tennant was the highlight of the day.

RIP I was shocked and saddened by the death of Simon MacCorkindale, he was very nice. I met him once in Bath where he was doing Sleuth with Michael Praed. I asked to take his photo with my son and he obliged but I didn’t think the flash had gone off so he quite happily waited for me to take another.

I recently had the opportunity of seeing them in concert. My first impression was that it was nice to be allowed to take photos, they make great memories. Actually that was quite funny as the security guards were going round trying to stop people taking photos, Mick Hucknall was telling everyone they could take photos (much to the obvious delight of the fans). But one security guard was oblivious to this and continued to try and stop people taking photos. So Mick shouted at him "Oy you, stop it" In my mind that is how you make fans. I went there as part of a group, a night out, not really a Simply Red fan but I came away a fan.

It’s so nice when they let you take photos, after awhile memory fades – but photos keep those distant memories alive. We were sat right at the back and top of the Colston Hall so the flash was pretty useless. Lucky I had a good camera with a decent zoom.

I was in the queue waiting to get Christopher Judges autograph, he had taken a break and was gone awhile. I debated whether to wait or come back later as I tend to have problems with my back if I stand still too long. Much to my backs dissaproval I waited.

It was worth definitely the wait as Jewel Staite decided it would be funny to doodle all over a Christopher Judge (Teal'c) photo. She wrote "I wish I was more like Jewel". Once she'd finished vandalising his photo she started on a photo of herself, this time she wrote "you can almost see my boob what a skank".

I met Michael for the first time in 2003, he’s another of the nice ones. A year later I saw Michael again at the NEC and my son who has a few problems collapsed in front of Michael’s table at the NEC. Michael went out of his way to get help for him, even making a “deal” with me saying that I should insist my son see a specialist for his problems and in return gave me an autographed photo which said “and don’t forget we made that deal”.

Dirk Benedict likes to write little essays on his autographs. One time when I saw him he was talking about his boys and how he raised them as a single father. I had my two boys with me at the time and he wrote “from one parent to another”, on another autograph he wrote “thanks for making an old face very happy”. The one below says "Bless you for remembering, but the best is now".
